Nicole Needle Hey Everyone, We started with the rebar today, which we dominated and finished. The boys watched us at the site from their classrooms and even helped a little. After dinner we played an extremely intense game of BINGO, which we had to cut short after people started losing hearing from all the screaming. Tonight we had reflection at the worksite. The group left me, Allison and Matty behind and we filmed a little rendition of the Blair Witch Project Honduras on the way. The game of Mafia got a little out of hand after that, but I'm not sure if I'm even allowed to mention this. The boys go a full day of school tomorrow, so we are going to miss them talking to us during the day. Oh, it's kind of been raining a little here...<3 Nicole
Lea Pineda Hey Family....Today I woke up feeling really sore.  I think I tore every muscle in my back.  We finished the foundations today and in the afternoon a few of us went into town to post the messages on the website.  We also went shopping for groceries.  Lots of pollo and pineapple.  I don't eat a lot of the food for meals but I am snacking a lot on candy.  Look forward to hearing from you.  Miss you. Love, Lea
Lindsay Rehl Hey everyone.  I hope that you get the chance to read these this week.  Its been kind of rainy here and around the 70s - I heard its supposed to snow at home tomorrow (Wed) - No tan yet for me, some black and blues tho. : ) Dan, I read your note tonight, and I will really try to get most of your requests completed.  I'm missing everybody, but I dont really think I'm homesick at all because I am having so much fun here.  There isn't a person here that doesnt make me laugh.  Three more nights to go and I want to absorb all of this in- because it really is incredible!
Annie Schweihs  Hi homies...Thanks for the message mom.  I was thinking before I read it that I was going to write in this message not to worry about me getting sunburned because it has been raining and cloudy.  That isn't a terrible thing though because it makes the work day a little less painful.  We are making a lot of progress at the construction site, the holes for the foundation are almost completely dug and we prepared most of the rebar for them today.  Not everyone loves the food but I do of course!  We are about to play bingo with the boys and I'm a little nervous....everyone says they are go crazy during it.  Everything is still going great...keep the messages coming and I hope everything is going well back home...stay warm!  Love, Annie
Jon Collins Hey there family-- thanks for all of the messages. Today was another busy day of work, still continuing the digging of the foundations, its amazing how much work it is to dig holes. its hard to tell in the pictures but each hole is about 3x3 feet and 3 feet deep. makes you appreciate bulldozers, etc! we work until about 6pm each day and then play with the kids (there are about 50 of them) for a few hours afterwards. we have been playing tons of soccer, which has been pretty amazing playing in nice weather, with a beautiful backsetting, against some pretty sick soccer players. im having a blast, i cant believe the trip is already half way over. I love all you guys, i cant wait to share all the pictures and stories. tell everyone hi for me, and grandpa bob i hope your continually feeling better! ill post one tomorrow~ Adios
Zach Harris Steph,  Thanks for the message.  Leave it to you to get lost anywhere..haha..just kidding.   We had an awesome day today.  We finished digging the holes for the foundation and built the reinforcement cages!  The weather has been very nice and cool for this time of year, although it rained yesterday.  Everyone from the group is amazing and we are all getting along really well.  It is truly valuable to get away from the everyday routine and have tome to help others and learn about yourself.  I needed this for sure.  I hope your week is going well.  I love you and miss you.  Mom and Dad, boo to you for not writing!  Hope everything is well in t-town.  Refer to the above message to see how my day was.  Love you guys.

-Zach

Katie Hearn I'm not coming home because my family and friends have yet to write me a message. nice to know I'm missed. Maybe I'll still love you. Don't hold your breath.

Allison Trinkle Hello!  Today, we finished digging holes and made the rebar cages for the foundation.  I'm pretty sore in basically every muscle in my body, but I'm hanging in there.  The weather has been pretty cool lately.  The sun has barely come out during in the last two days.   It's great weather to work in though.  The food is delicious, with the exception of the eggs and beans.  I've never been a fan, but I did try them.  We also played an intense round of Bingo tonight.  The kids love it and go absolutely nuts.  I look forward to hearing more from you.  Aunt Chrissie, tell Will I said hi and that I had a "lovely" time with him as well!
Matthew Costantino The Beast is back!  I finished the hole today by myself.  Mrs. Kurocki, can I come to the house for pot-roast when I get home.  Anyways, its day....I'm not really sure what day we're on, but it seems to be going by really fast. We are getting a lot done at the work site, but the main focus is still bonding with the boys and the other group members. The group is unreal this year...i can't even believe it. The children are great. It will be tough to leave them. I am trying to get some good footage for the movie and I'm taking some good pictures. NIck bones....it would be sweet if you were here B. We haven't broke out the pinnies yet. I think there is a big game today though. Hope everything is well. Matt
Dr. David Dinehart Matt and Abby, thanks for the notes.  Matt, I hope you like the pictures of the inside of the school. Abby, good luck with the fractions. I can't remember where I hid your last present, so in the mean time you can have a special treat from the treat bowl ... Pop Rocks!  I'm giving them to my students tomorrow too.  Let me know if you like them.  Dad is getting sore from the digging, but luckily my students do most of the work.  Jeff says hi again.  Shell, I can't wait to here about the Boys and Girls Club.  Tonight was BINGO night.  This is a place rooted in the Catholic tradition.  For those who don't know, this year's project is a building that will serve as a computer laboratory.  They hope to have the lab, the facilities, and another classroom finished by year end.  Tomorrow I will be spending part of my time cooking the annual fiesta dinner for the Nova students and volunteers.  I will also be giving the cards and drawings from the St. Agnes 3rd grade and Villa Maria girls to kids at the school.  I'm probably way more productive in the kitchen and classroom than in those holes anyways! Dean G, I conducted the first SWOT and the outcome was that Dr. G. and I need someone to cover our classes next week while we recover from all of the fun, I mean back breaking labor!
Dr. Shawn Gross Hello again everybody.  Thanks to all of the trip alumni for checking in.  You'll be happy to know we played Mafia.  I left my game back in the US.  Dinehart totally strung me along and made me look like an idiot.  Of course, we all know he is a master manipulator.  Things are going well - weather today was overcast with a high of about 75!  We've been here four days and we've hardly needed the sunscreen.  Nicholas, thanks for the brief message.  Hope you will write more.  And remember, don't start crawling yet!  Love you, Jen.  Hope the snow tomorrow isn't too bad!
Maria Wow, don't the classrooms look great!  I got to work with some girls writing thank you notes to the generous people that sponsor a child with Amigos de Jesus.  Dr. D. says he may take me with tomorrow to teach the children some English.  I also got to do some digging with the students.  They are very, very silly.  I think it must be fun being an engineer at Villanova.  Gracie, Dr. Dinehart's goal was #6 of 10.  The final score was 10-10. Laura, only soccer cleats get time outs for errant shots.
