Nicole Needle Hey Everyone. Today we struck a large clay layer in the front 5 footings and we might have to start driving some crazy piles. Capstone group: start recalculating everything. Dinehart and Gross cooked an amazing dinner tonight. The salsa was sooo good. Matty and Pete each ate at least one whole chicken. We're almost done with the rebar cages and foundation boxes. Concrete will be poured tomorrow. At the moment, mafia is getting so intense we are taping it. Tune into the videos soon. We only saw the boys for a little today because of their schedule. I'm really sad the week is flying by. <3 Nicole
Lea Pineda Holla!!!  Thanks for my messages Danielle and Christian.  I really enjoy reading them.  This week has flown by.  The days go by so quickly because we are working so hard.  We are finally batching and pouring the concrete today but we might not because the electricity is down.  It has been down pretty much all day but hopefully it comes back tonight or I won't be showering.  On a good note the sun finally came out so I am starting to get tan.  Check out the pictures.  There is some cute ones of the kids.  Christian, I hope you arrived safely home.  Can't wait to see you.  I love you.  Dad, I am expecting another message soon.  Miss you guys.  Love, Lea
Lindsay Rehl Hey guys! Thank you so much for the messages - keep them coming! Hope you like the pictures - if you really want to watch the last years "Matty" video (only like the first 10 minutes) It shows like all of the excitement in such a cool way. I love it here. I can't believe only a couple days left.  (Oh- and if you see the pics of the lizzard or geico- they are from my room!) Many interesting stories.  Today wasn't a very productive day but we all had a lot of fun.  Took lot of video fun footage, played Mafia (great game), had a volunteer dinner (awesome!,) caught the geico (it got loose - people got so scared, but we caught him again) and shared so many funny stories from Matty.

Every night we do reflections and bond - couple nights I have cried already.  We also do Prayer circle with the kids and they are so wonderful.  They have gone thru so much and still have so much to be thankful for.

Just wanna say Thank You for anyone who is reading these and I love you all very much.

-Lindsay   (BIG HUG)

Zach Harris Hello all!  Another busy day in Honduras.  Today was probably the most fun we have all had as a group.  We worked hard in the morning and took the afternoon easy on the jobsite while doing a lot of filming for the group documentary.  It should turn out to be pretty funny!  We had an unbelievable dinner prepared by Drs Gross and Dinehart:  Barbeque Chicken, pasta salad, homemade bread, homemade salsa, and chocolate peanut butter banana popcicles for dessert..... it was so good I am getting hungry just talking about it right now.  Mom, thanks for the message yesterday.  I'm glad you and Blake had fun at the play and thanks for the encouraging words.  I do feel as though I am making a positive difference down here.  Steph, your fad diet booth sounds like a good idea.  Everyone should know that the best way to stay healthy is to eat right and exercise!  Don't study too hard and I can't wait to see you in two weeks!  1437

ps- tomorrow we are pouring concrete and hopefully playing soccer against the older kids. It's going to be an exciting day.

Katie Hearn FAMILY! I'm sorry for my bitter post yesterday. I'll be honest, I was jealous of everyone else's many messages. However today I got to be the popular one! I was so excited to hear from you all! Dad I'd like you to know I am a beast. Maybe now with a shovel but with a digging bar. I was part of a team that dug through straight rock. I'll be returning with some serious guns. Marn, the sun hasn't been out all week so I'm sure you'll be tanner than me with that lotion when I get back. Although I did get a sweet farmers tan today...burned on the neck and arms only. I'm still not counting on too much color. Aunt Judy!! Muchos gracias for the post!! So good to hear from you! And MOM! TWO posts. woop woop!

Anyway, this place is really incredible. The boys that Amigos is set up to help are amazing. They have been through so much but are still so positive and loving. Each time you see them they give you such a wonderful hug. Like Papa's hugs. I can't get enough. We went to church with them on Sunday and my favorite part was during the sign of peace. Here you don't just wish the persons close to you the sign, you get up and walk around the church and wish EVERYONE peace. Carlos is teaching me as much Espanol as I can absorb. The kids are helping me too. Almost always one of my conversations includes "como se dice en espanol..." I'm getting there.

We're BEASTING it on the work site. The group is getting really close. Seven days is most definitely not enough but I'll always take what I can get. Cross your fingers for me that the sun comes out tomorrow!

I love you all very very much and thanks so much for the messages! It's so great to hear from you all!

Allison Trinkle Hola!  Today we continued working on the foundation and tomorrow we start pouring the concrete.  The sun finally peeked out a bit today and I got some sunburn.  I guess that could have been because I forgot to wear sunscreen.  Oops!  Anyway, we didn't get to hang out with the kids that much today which was kind of disappointing.  Hopefully, we will tomorrow.  Dr. Gross and Dr. Dinehart made us an delicious dinner tonight, with chicken and pasta salad.  I look forward to some more messages.  I really enjoy reading them.  Sorry to hear about the fish, Katie.  I'm sad I never got to meet it.
Matthew Costantino Message will be posted here
Dr. David Dinehart Matt and Abby, I remembered where the last presents were hidden.  They have the same Dr. Seuss book as you Abby, the one about the rain forest, and that jogged my memory.  Find the place in house with the most plants and hunt for your last surprises there.  Matt, Shawn promises to wear his boots today.  Abby, Stanley and Maria are getting along very well.  I'm sorry the weather is so cold.  We haven't seen any sunshine since Sunday, but I'll see if I can bring home the warm temps.  Reid, SG says that the sand for Nick's sandbox is being delivered to your driveway tomorrow. RG, Javier is with his family now.  Liza, Mario misses you greatly.  Other trip alumni, keep the messages coming.  Jimmy Sutton, I am still the mafia king, now get back to your thesis and get a job. My class got canceled, so I will have to wait for Friday. Kuroki family you are a big hit.  I'll save you a seat in class Andrew.  Grace, Laura, and anyone that want to play the home Honduras game.  Take a cold shower today and then sleep on the floor tonight.  I miss you Shell, glad the kids are having a good week.
Dr. Shawn Gross Hello, everybody.  Annie is right, I stink at Mafia.  Especially the fake games.  On the bright side, I have many many years to get my revenge on Dinehart.  Great dinner tonight!  I made a fresh salsa to serve with some tostada (tortilla chips), and DD made the BBQ chicken (a Honduras tradition) and pasta salad.  Maureen made some delicious fresh bread.  Glad to hear VU beat DePaul.  Thanks for the updates on the game, everybody.  Guinivan, I have needed the rusty screwdriver the last few days, but only here and there.  Concrete tomorrow (maybe).  Your message was a big hit Nicholas.  Please help Mommy shovel the snow if there is a lot.  Love you and miss you, Jen.  Keep showing the little buddy my pics (lots of them today) so he can do his happy dance!
Maria Flat Stanley sends an Hola to all of the St. Agnes Third Grade, especially Matt.  He says that he has been living in Honduras for the last year helping to teach English in the school.  He says that the boys' favorite week of the entire year is the week that the Villanova students come.  I helped a lot in the kitchen today.  Those eggs you saw were for the boys.  Matty ate some, but not all of them!  The volunteer named Pete, who you see in lots of photos, eats way more than Matty.  I helped Drs. Dinehart and Gross make BBQ chicken, pasta salad, and chips and salsa.   I think I may get to play soccer today.  Anytime there is a soccer ball out the boys are happy.
